  • The aim of Sideboard is to stabilize the Python prototype to the point that (architecturally) it is production quality. Correctness, not performance, is the main concern.

  • "Hutch" is the concept validation milestone to be presented Dec. 8 in Andy Warfield's Data at Scale seminar. Hutch will be closed after Dec. 8 and development will continue on the Python/prototype under the "Sideboard" milestone until stability is achieved. Once the prototype is stable, a port to C will be started under the milestone "Splinter". Milestone naming: Milestones will be given furniture names, specifically pieces that traditionally might be varnished or shellacked. Splinter will be the one exception, marking a major move from prototype to work on what might be a production-quality release candidate.
