Inquiry regarding project status, NGINX Plus compatibility (Keyval + Auth JWT) #26

Hello,

I have been exploring your GitHub repositories (nginx-keyval and nginx-auth-jwt) with great interest. We are currently in the process of migrating our Kubernetes infrastructure from NGINX Plus to NGINX Open Source and are looking for viable alternatives to the native Plus modules.

Your projects appear to be the closest functional replacements that support the existing configuration syntax, which is a major advantage for us. Before we commit to testing these modules in our environment, I would like to ask a few questions:

Maintenance & Support: I noticed that the last activity on both repositories was some time ago (approx. 10 months). What is the current status of these projects? Do you plan to maintain compatibility with future NGINX mainline/stable releases (e.g., 1.26+)?

Keyval - Persistence & Sync: In our current NGINX Plus setup, we rely on state=file for persistence and sync for cluster-wide synchronization.
I see state=file listed in the TODO section of nginx-keyval. Is this feature planned for the near future?

For synchronization, we assume switching to keyval_zone_redis is the intended path for OSS users. Is the Redis implementation considered production-ready?

Directive Compatibility: generally, is it a design goal to maintain strict parity with the official Plus directives for both modules where possible? This significantly eases our migration path.

I really appreciate your work on these modules; they bridge a significant gap between the Plus and OSS ecosystems.

Thank you
