Feature Description
Feature Description
Currently, to add files to the chat context, users must use the #file context provider or click the image icon.
It would be great to support drag and drop functionality for adding files and images directly into the chat input area, similar to how Cursor IDE handles this.
Current Workaround
- Use
#file or #folder context providers
- Click the image icon in chat input
- For CLI: drag and drop into terminal (already supported)
Expected Behavior
- Drag a file from Explorer → drop into chat panel → file is added to context
- Drag an image from desktop → drop into chat panel → image is attached
Environment
- OS: Windows
- Kiro Version: 0.1.x (Preview)
Use Case
Use Case
- Quickly share screenshots for debugging UI issues
- Add multiple files to context without typing
#file repeatedly
- More intuitive workflow for users coming from other AI IDEs
