CPU Usage / Performance / Heating issues when using Kiro

Bug Description

As soon as the m4 mini starts running, the CPU temperature immediately rises to 60°C, and the key issue is that it remains at 60°C and never goes down. Neither Cursor nor Claude Code has this problem.

Hi @DomiYoung thank you for opening this issue. I have a few clarifying questions for you:

1. How big of a project are you opening on Kiro?
2. Do you have more than one instance of Kiro?
3. If you are doing this on a large project, can you try with a smaller project?

I am not sure if it’s related, my setup is
os: macOS 26.0 dev beta
kiro ver: 0.1.15.

after opening the kiro, the xprotectservice is being triggered, and the CPU load immediately goes up to 100%, and it never goes down.
