Unable to import wallets with a 24 word seed phrase

I'm using an Umbrel Home and when I click "import wallet" and create a password the next screen only allows 12 words. I don't trust only 12 words to secure my bag so I won't be using it unless I can import a hardware wallet with 24 words. Am I missing something? I've looked all over the site and see no option to import a wallet with 24 words.

Thanks for the feature request. No, you are not missing something: Importing a 24 word mnemonic with the ui is currently not possible. Maybe you can import it via the CLI with wallet-tool.py.

Afaik, there is effectively no advantage in this case, since JM is a hot wallet and security assumptions are totally different and the weaker link is in operational security (just my 2 sats). Not sure if the JM API supports it, and importing 24 is not a much requested feature, but if you are a builder, we will happily merge any incoming PR!

I’ve added support for importing 24-word seed phrases in the UI.
I’ve attached a short video demo showing it working end-to-end.

If the approach looks good to you, I’m happy to open a PR and iterate on any changes you’d like.
