2 Issues: Space gets added in front / key words: case sensitive?

Hi,

first, I am very glad that QuickText is back for the latest Thunderbird version. When it stopped working some months ago I was really lost as I used many key words that unfold to some neat texts... Great and thanks a lot!

Since a few days, I noticed that Quick Text works again, what a relief! But I observed two issues:

1. When I type e.g. "kr" what unfolds to "Kind regards, John" there is always a space in front like " Kind regards, John". But this space double to a space that is in front or also if it is in its own line, the line does not start at the beginning but with a space. Any chance to get this off again?

2. All my Key words a in capitals like "Kind regards, Martin", Well I just did so over the former years. But now it seems that Quick Text got case sensitive so this does not get unfolded unless I alter it to "kr" ... Is this the new behaviour so that I have to alter all my definitions?

Keywords are key-sensitive. At least in 6.4 and later.

I am not fully able to understand the space issue.

• What keyword activation key are you using?
• Where is the space added? If you have multiple scenarios with different behavior, please provide an example for each.

Hi, See here my settings: and if I type "lh" in an E-Mail e.g. at the beginning of a line, I get a leading space, see below  Lieber Herr Can you identify the issue? Also to end my Mail I use a keyword "kr" that will put a leading space before, see below!
