3D mesh of the scenes

I would like to create the 3D mesh of the available scenes. In the readme you suggest to use corresponding repository from here. However, in this repository I see that there is a python script called generate_scene_obj.py. Thus, I would like to ask whether it is the same or there some differences between the two.
