Integration with medspacy?

I am working to develop a custom medspacy pipeline for clinical NLP that could be used at scale within VHA.
As I understand, trie-based rule processing is not natively supported within the medspacy pipeline. Are you aware of any existing efforts to integrate trie-based rules into custom versions of the medspacy pipeline?
