Menu options

Hi

I have tried to use the code provided and I have followed the instructions, the Git option appears within the menu bar within Studio however the actual dropdown menu is blank. Could you please tell me where I am going wrong. Thank you.

Hi Salma,

Probably you should review your ^GITConfig global configuration, it seems that some of the values may be wrong.

Anyway, you should consider using Atelier (Eclipse based IDE) in which you can usually setup any GIT plugin (e.g. EGit).

Thank you for your prompt reply. As our integration partner is not currently working with Atelier it has been recommended that we stick to Studio as an interim measure and use the GIT hook until we both move to Atelier. How may I be able to review ^GITConfig global configurations?

I did run the following commands as per the notes

SAMPLES>set ^GITConfig($username,"gitpath")="E:\Git\bin"

SAMPLES>set ^GITConfig($username,"workdir")="e:\workspace\MyProject"
SAMPLES>set ^GITConfig($username,"authorname")="Salma Sarwar"
SAMPLES>set ^GITConfig($username,"output")="e:\git.output.txt"
SAMPLES>set ^GITConfig($username,"error")="e:\git.error.txt"

Just to add when I have launched studio the following message appears, that may be able to help track the problem.

Default__SYSTEM.PRJ is not in source control, skipping import

Hi

I have managed to get the menu options to display and I have also been able to commit to the local repository. However when I tried to push -> origin or pull -> origin I have the following error message

No such remote or remote group: origin

How do I configure the remote repository? Your help would be much appreciated. Thank you.
