Objective

Define and own the acceptance matrix and release-readiness gates for ICA as a supported desktop application.

In Scope

• Smoke and regression coverage for install, launch, project selection, install/sync/publish flows, update checks, and failure UX.
• Cross-platform validation expectations for supported OS/arch combinations.
• Release-readiness and certification gates for the desktop product.

Out of Scope

• Implementing core desktop packaging or updater logic.
• Architecture decision changes.

Acceptance Criteria

• Acceptance matrix covers the supported desktop matrix and critical workflows.
• Release gate requires passing desktop smoke coverage.
• Failure, upgrade, and recovery flows are explicitly validated.

Required Test Evidence

• RED: failing desktop acceptance and smoke tests.
• GREEN: passing core cross-platform desktop validation.
• REFACTOR: stable suite after deduplication and cleanup.
