Description
System Configuration:
Laptop Model: Lenovo LOQ 15IAX9I
CPU: Intel Core i5-12450HX
Discrete GPU (dGPU): Intel Arc A530M (4GB)
Integrated GPU (iGPU): Intel UHD Graphics
RAM: 32 GB Skhynix 4800mhz
OS: Windows 11 Home 25H2 26200.7462
Graphics Driver Version: Arc 8331, Intel UHD 7082
Game: Cyberpunk 2077 (Latest Patch, legal)
Issue Description: I am experiencing a critical issue with XeSS Frame Generation functionality depending on the GPU Working Mode (MUX Switch status).
Scenario A (dGPU Only Mode): When I switch my laptop to "Discrete Graphics" mode via the BIOS/Lenovo Vantage (bypassing the iGPU), XeSS Frame Generation works perfectly. I see a significant FPS boost and smooth frame pacing.
Scenario B (Hybrid / MSHybrid Mode): When I switch back to standard "Hybrid Mode" (where the dGPU renders but the iGPU handles the display output), Frame Generation fails to function correctly.
Symptom: The option enables but provides 0 FPS gain / The game becomes stuttery despite high FPS counter.
Technical Observation: It appears that the presentation path through the Intel UHD iGPU in Hybrid mode is acting as a bottleneck or is incompatible with the generated frames from the Arc A530M. The frames generated by XeSS on the A530M do not seem to be passing through the iGPU's copy engine correctly, leading to the feature failing or causing severe pacing issues.
**Steps to Reproduce:
Set laptop to "Hybrid Mode" (MSHybrid).
Launch Cyberpunk 2077.
Enable XeSS "Ultra Quality", "Quality" or "Balanced" etc.
Enable "XESS Frame Generation".
Observe performance (Stuttering and lack of FPS increase).
Restart laptop in "dGPU Mode" and repeat -> feature works as intended.**
Request: Please investigate the interaction between Arc Mobile dGPUs and Intel iGPUs regarding Frame Generation presentation in Hybrid configurations.
