We have observed on both a v1 and a v2 board that when one or both of the stepper drivers fail, they cause the Teensy to heat up (too hot to touch). We suspect this has led to a Teensy being fully fried.
Observations:
- Something happened and made one or both of the drivers fail (channels A and B).
- The motors become unresponsive, and the Teensy starts heating up
- At this point the students unplugged their Teensy quickly
- We then removed both drivers, replugged the Teensy => fine
- Replaced the drivers with new ones => fixed
