I tried in Windows 10 build 10130 x64 and seems to work.

It works perfectly on Windows 10 Pro x64 21H1, both for dark and light themes. Really a GREAT trick. Thank you.

Does this still work for anyone on Windows 11? Specifically, for the "open file dialog" file picker window? (example: trying to upload an image on imgur via your browser). I know I got it to work on 10 but can't remember the process, but likely it was this specific fix here. But applying it does not fix it for me on 11.

On regular explorer file manager, Open Shell has an option to enable sort bar for all views. But it doesn't extend to the open file dialog.
