@katulu-anne, thanks for putting this together!

I'm not a lawyer and I'm unsure how to best do this to be both complaint and not confuse potential contributors. From what I understand of the SPRIND agreement, I believe we actually need a signed version of this disclosure. So I’d suggest:

  1. Creating a simple DISCLOSURE (plain text) file in the project root that briefly explains that this project was developed as part of the SPRIND Composite Learning Challenge, and where to find the relevant legal documentation.
  2. Adding a legal/ directory to store the signed PDF version of the IPR disclosure.

That way, we’re SPRIND-compliant without mixing legal artifacts into the main project or confusing contributors. Let me know what you think!

DISCLOSURE Example:

This project is developed as part of the SPRIND Composite Learning Challenge
(https://www.sprind.org/en/actions/challenges/composite-learning),
funded by the German Federal Agency for Disruptive Innovation (SPRIND).

As a participant in this challenge, we are required to provide disclosures related to
pre-existing and sideground intellectual property rights (IPR), in accordance with the
official participation agreement.

All legally binding documents, including signed IPR disclosures, are stored in the
`legal/` directory of this repository.

These legal documents are provided to ensure compliance with the SPRIND program
requirements and to make the IPR status of this project transparent to evaluators
and authorized reviewers.

P.S. The test failure is unrelated to your changes and caused by a new advisory regarding on of our dependencies and should be fixed in a separate PR.
