Close bottom sheet on back button click for UX?

I think it would be nice to make use of window.history.pushState and ensure the bottom sheet is closed on back click. 
Since the bottom sheet resembles one of the mobile OS components, it would be great to overtake the back button after a bottom sheet is loaded.
