Including Enums #2

Hi,
I have been keeping up with the DevCamps. I was wondering about the free text in the code. Is there a pattern that is suggested for global enums. For example, the use of "hc_public" etc.?
Seems like as we transition this project from a teaching project toward production code we would want to refactor those strings to a center place somehow. Interested to hear what the best practice would be on this. There seem to be two cases:
Module specific (e.g. link names and class names)
Global (items like hc_public)
