1 aspect is to have rooms be public or private
and.... if public
can we get a method to list of all public rooms ?

I've renamed this issue to "Lobby service", as that seems more in line with what you're looking for.

The scope of matchmaking is to automate the match finding process, i.e. users enter a matchmaking queue and are matched with others in the queue based on some specified criteria (number of players, skill level, geography, etc).
