Notes from meeting

• Based on communication with Bonnie at the all-Leads meeting on February 04, 2026 ideas for next Guest Speaker were discussed. Based on admin feedback prior to December break, it was suggested the UI/UX CoP get a speaker specialised in Design Systems as this would be a helpful resourced across various HfLA teams. However, based on current requirement (where Design Systems are not being built by designers, but by engineers from the Material Library), a guest speaker from Design Systems is not a priority.
• Hence, based on the above, as a Co-Lead going to focus on shortlisting speakers from a wider range of products for the UI/UX CoP. Especially from products never seen before at the UI/UX CoP (heath tech, robotic tech, climate tech, AI applied in all these products etc.). We have already covered products like social media, gaming, project management etc. at the UI/UX CoP before (where practitioners from these industries have guest spoken at the UI/UX CoP)
• Peter G has stepped back as Co-lead starting February 2026. Peter will be mini-off boarded and removed from the agenda issues and the monthly calendar invites. Peter will continue having access to all other resources and folders as Peter is returning at the end of the month to host the TDM-Calc Research Guest Speaker Presentation.
• Schedule and planning for February and March have been completed. The scheduled event for 'March 25: Fireside Chat: Connecting the Dots in your Career 🟢' was inspired by some new members who attended the last few community meetups. They had mentioned about pivoting from a different career into UX. Their previous career were dramatically different from their current career/path in UX. This inspired a longer fire-side chat on how connecting the dots in a career journey can build a cohesive career story.

• Have been requested to help during Onboarding with the FigJam placement and Google Sheets verification. Will be helping the Onboarding team with this at the upcoming onboarding (on March 23)
