According to the HRD ministry, India has 6,214 engineering and technology institutions which are enrolling 2.9 million students. Around 1.5 million engineers are released into the job market every year. But the dismal state of higher education in India ensures that they simply do not have adequate skills to be employed.
In India,getting into a Tier-1 college like IIT,BITs,NITs ensures that you get a reputable job and better opportunities.
But what about the majority of the students who get into Tier-3 colleges,most of them with no skills and knowledge and unsure of being employed ?

SOLUTION

I want to build a smart portal where students can

• Register with their data (Institute,Stream chosen,Field Interested in,Year of study)
• Personalised tracks will be recommended to students
  • How to plan my 4 years?
  • Internships to be done relevant to field
  • Skills to be worked upon
  • Projects to be done
  • Research work to be undertaken
• How will I recommend?
  • Based on the profiles of "Role models"
  • It's always good to learn from someone who has achieved extraordinary feats.
  • Successful Alumni of Top colleges - who are working in Top Companies in awesome positions, pursuing highers in Elite Institutes across the world, Entrepreneurs etc. will act as role models.
