Screensharing on mobile devices

I am trying to record my screen on my ipad pro but trying to record from screen doesnt work.

Unfortunately, getDisplayMedia is not supported on any mobile browser at the moment:

...meaning there is no way to screenshare on any mobile device from a web browser. This API has been a thing till at least 2019 now, so I doubt that mobile browser vendors have any interest in implementing this in the future.

The only other way to get this to work is to create mobile app versions of Lapse. This introduces a lot of room for bugs (we're using completely different API surfaces!), and practically requires us to maintain at least two different versions of the app (web/desktop and mobile).

I've been thinking of using iOS's WKWebView to display lapse.hackclub.com and provide screen streams over some native bridge, but it looks like its IPC protocol really doesn't like big chunks of data. This is possible, but would be a bit unstable...

Maybe we could take a screenshot every second (or at an other appropriate frequency) then merge those to create a timelapse

I don't think that's possible - screenshotting would also involve the display media API. Unless we're talking about taking screenshots in a native app - but that also leaves us with a problem of maintaining a whole new app.

I think that #72 would be able to close this issue. iOS and Android users would be able to record their screen with their native screen recorder, and then submit it to Lapse.

IIRC, you can screenshot on mobile devices, but native recording makes much more sense!
