[FR] Wireguard tunnel?

Hi,
Would it be possible to add an option to establish an SSH connection via a WireGuard tunnel directly within the app?

Thanks! This one is probably out of scope for me though.

The SSH part would be easy, it's WireGuard that's the problem. Doing it properly means bundling a native WireGuard implementation with a userspace TCP stack and cross-compiling it for both platforms, a lot of native code to maintain for a pretty niche use case. The lighter path would be a device-wide VPN, but the official WireGuard app already works alongside Conduit today.

What are you actually trying to reach? If it's a host behind a gateway, ProxyJump/bastion support would cover that much more cleanly and is something I'd actually consider building. If it's a whole private network, WireGuard + Conduit side by side already works.

Leaving this open, if jump-host support wouldn't cover your case let me know.

I'm already using a VPN system wide, using a VPN tunnel inside Conduit would permit not to disconnect my system VPN to access server via SSH.

I think I’ve seen an Android SSH client do that before… I can’t remember which one, I’ll have a look… But I find Conduit a much cooler SSH client than that app whose name I can’t remember.

I realise, though, that my request is completely out of the app’s scope. No problem.

I may come back to this later, when I have sorted through the other issues and set up a website. If haven has I kind of want it too now :)
