The Debian triage data, we now have available (#3), allows us to analyze which Common Platform Enumerations (CPEs) were matched before to specific Debian packages. So, a CVE was matched to a Debian package and this CVE has specific CPEs that were affected by it.
With this information we can make a prediction about the affected Debian package for new CVEs independently of the status of the CVE inside the Debian Security Tracker.
