There is a growing list of testing files in tests/resources (108 test files), but we keep nowhere track how we generate them.
Examples are the simtel and corsika files, which have been generated a long time ago (some by Raul), and we have a hard time to redo them with newer versions of corsika/sim_telarray (at least I have that.
Need to discuss how we enforce reproducibility.
- e.g., by keeping for all simtools generated test files both the config, log, and metadata files
- could imaging that we have a simtools-test repository to keep track of the test file generation
