IPSec Support in Images

can you give me instructions for the images ? so that I can do it with minimal effort

i guess it is kernel-related, not for image, so the linked issue is more right. but i have to know which options to enable, then image-code can pull kernel binary which supports it.

or you use self-built kernel (see readme how to do so).

but easiest way is to use my image like it is, build kernel with additional options and install to your card till it works and then tell me the options needed.

I didnt your you i tried your images they dont have IPSec with commands like "ip xfrm ......"

Or i can use it with program ?

Do not understand last comment...

You mean "ip" command does not support xfrm subcommand (is there any error)? Then try to enable the options i posted in the kernel issue.

yes it gives error when we try "ip xfrm " as xfrm user module is not there

I just did updated and compiling image again

You can compile kernel and install in your already flashed debian/ubuntu image when having card inserted into your build pc.

I got the commands working but internal heatsink fan is not moving

Issue with FAN is solved .
now I need to know how to flash the new ubuntu on emmc with bootloader

what have you done exactly to solve the IPsec and FAN issue?

for emmc you have to bot from nand and flash bl2 in uboot and the image + emmc fip from linux (initrd) to emmc. thats the easiest way

i have some older way which flashes a gpt img to have partitions and flash fip to fixed offset. but then you have no kernel+rootfs on emmc. so it is easier to bootup initrd to unpack the img.gz on the fly which is not possible in uboot.

I recompiled kernel with user mode ipsec support .
About FAN it started without any effort.

I will try your steps today.
