Hi,

I deployed the stack from your repo as is and was not able to get the trace to pass through sqs as expected. I've attached an image of xray. Any thoughts on why it didn't work?

It's an issue with cdk construct versions not matching . Check in package.json that all cdk deps have the same version

Any ideas on how to bridge the gap between the consumer lambda and the additional trace that begins with that lambda?

Did you disabled xray on consumer lambda ?

Deleted your message since you had your DD key in it. Will add an example with lambda -> SNS -> SQS -> Lambda

PS: I have no idea why an extra trace is created for SNSSQSConsumer but the custom one works
