OLED Screen

Greetings,
I have built the witcontroller with no issues Thank you. I Have some screens left over from another project and would like to utilise them on another witcontroller I am going to build. They are 2.42" I2C screens 128 x 64
with a SSD 1309 driver chip.
To Tell the truth I am at a loss trying to get this screen to work with the wemos Lolin32 Lite,any help would be great.

hi,
I have no experience with them, but they are supposed to be supported by the u8g2 library.

It should just be a matter of trying all the possible i2c constructor lines in config_button.h and hoping one works.

I would start with the HW ones

You may have to alter the order of the parameters as well (for the SW ones).

e.g. U8G2_SSD1309_128X64_NONAME2_1_SW_I2C(rotation, clk, data [, reset])
Would require (I think):

#define U8G2_SSD1309_128X64_NONAME2_1_SW_I2C u8g2(U8G2_R0, /* clock=*/ 22, /* data=*/ 23, /* reset=*/ U8X8_PIN_NONE);

But U8G2_SSD1309_128X64_NONAME2_1_HW_I2C(rotation, [reset [, clk, data]])
would be (I think)
#define OLED_TYPE U8G2_SSD1309_128X64_NONAME2_1_HW_I2C u8g2(U8G2_R0, /* reset=*/ U8X8_PIN_NONE, /* clock=*/ 22, /* data=*/ 23);

P.S. there is very odd comment in one of the reviews on the Amazon link you sent.

I tried and tried to get this working with the code and examples from Seengreat but it refused to work, I put it back in the box intending to return it when I remembered the U8glib library and the examples that come with it, I chose "graphics test" once loaded into the Arduino IDE I looked at the list of constructor strings and only one uses five data pins, the U8glib_SSD1306_128 x 64 so I deselected the forward slashes and uploaded the code and presto, there it was. ...

Which suggests that it is not really a SSD1309, or at least it may work with the SSD1306 constructors.

(Though he was probably using the SPI interface)

@SUPETSPARKS1 I have seen comments on forums stating that some boards sold as SD1309 are in fact another driver chip. I have one of these and it uses the SSD1306 driver. All of the details for the different display drivers supported are on the U8g GitHub. Cheers James
