Before creating bug reports, please check the existing issues as you might find out that you don't need to create one. When you are creating a bug report, please include as many details as possible:
- Use our bug report template
- Include the steps that reproduce the problem
- Provide specific examples to demonstrate the steps
- Describe the behavior you observed and what behavior you expected to see
- Include screenshots if possible
- Include your environment details (OS, Node.js version, etc.)
If you have a suggestion for the project:
- Use our feature request template
- Provide a clear and detailed explanation of the feature
- Explain why this enhancement would be useful to most users
- List some examples of how it would work
- Fork the repo and create your branch from
main - If you've added code that should be tested, add tests
- Ensure the test suite passes
- Update the documentation
- Create the pull request!

- Follow existing code formatting
- Use meaningful variable and function names
- Add JSDoc comments for functions and complex code blocks
- Keep functions focused and modular
- Write unit tests for new features
- Use the present tense ("Add feature" not "Added feature")
- Use the imperative mood ("Move cursor to..." not "Moves cursor to...")
- Limit the first line to 72 characters or less
- Reference issues and pull requests liberally after the first line
- Keep README.md updated
- Document new features
- Update API documentation if needed
- Add comments to explain complex logic
