spec v1.2
From section 4:
An implementation of the FDP specifications MUST minimally provide the metadata records of the MetadataService and the metadata records of the other types of resources MUST be grouped in at least one Catalog.
then, from section 4.2:
[...] of these two types of digital objects that are mandatory to each FDP, the FAIR Data Point and Catalog.
and from section 4.2.2:
Since only the Metadata Service and Catalog metadata are mandatory in a FDP, [...]
and from section 6:
Its root API URL MUST provide the Metadata Service metadata;
(all emphases mine)
I assume "Metadata Service" should be replaced by "FAIR Data Point"?
Also note the inconsistent use of whitespace. I would suggest using MetadataService and FAIRDataPoint, without whitespace, throughout the text and figures.
In addition, in section 6 we find:
[...] the following characteristics must be present:
- [...]
- Each metadata record SHOULD have a reference to its own profile which, on its turn, MUST point to the metadata schema expressed in SHACL;
From this, it is not clear to me if a "profile" SHOULD be specified, or if it MUST it be specified. I assume if a profile is specified, then it must point to a metadata schema, but also see #15.
Based on section 1.2, I assume that "must" is the same as "MUST" in this context:
[...] However, for readability, these words do not appear in all uppercase letters in this specification.
