Describe the bug

Subtasks get unchecked on task progress

Steps to Reproduce

1. Checklists -> New Checklist -> Task Project
2. Create a project
3. Create a project item
4. In the project item create some subtasks
5. Mark subtasks as completed
6. In the kanban board move the task to In Progress column
7. Open the task

Expected:
Previously checked subtasks are still checked

Actual:
Subtasks are unchecked

How are you finding working on the codebase btw?

If you want a honest answer... The code is really messy. Some logic is far from intuitive and no clear view on how some features are supposed to behave underneath. Like lists to Kanban conversion. Can't see clearly defined states.
But the project + idea + your enthusiasm + your responsiveness are a wild combo :)
Don't get me wrong, I'm not ninja or judging over 9k-level guru :)

Yup, very fair feedback!

I think the older features are the messiest, the more I try to get away from that messy beginning the better it should be getting, trying to clean up and refactor a bit with every release, making sure not to create issues as i go along!

Checklists are definitely the messiest area of the site, which is why I was curious on how you were getting on, I have changed it so many times that there's way too much old overhead still hanging about.

Happy to talk through how some things work/are intended to work and where things are, at the very least everything is very modular 😆

Worth mentioning I am working on checklist tags for this release, we may end up heavily conflicting haha I just merged develop back into my branch and every single thing you worked on conflicted with me, didn't think of it yesterday 😆

Not a big deal, but that checklist-utils is gonna be struggling in the next few days :P
