Came across this issue too. Wrapping the function in () fixed it for me.

so instead of:

function ($) { "use strict";

....

} (jQuery);

make it:

(function ($) { "use strict";

....

}) (jQuery);

I'm no expert on this stuff but for whatever reason that fixed it for me.
