Cannot build parallel version with VisIt 3

As mentioned at the end of GL#32, I cannot build the parallel version of the plugin with VisIt 3.
The serial only version works.

@vplj also mentioned encountering the same issue with epoch4.17 and visit3.0.1.

Yes, I am finding the same issue, only the serial only version is working.
