Can you add the ability to set the dependencies as OR conditions? I would like to show a field if FieldA OR FieldB equals a certain value.

@lvdhoorn array of values is not a solution to the bigger problem. The dependsOn method only relies on one input. An input can have multiple values but in general it contains one value. If an array is used to compare against multiple values, the bigger question is, should it be an or statement or an and statement.

To clarify:

->dependsOn('input', ['value1', 'value2'])

Can have two statements:

• input == 'value1' or input == 'value2'
• input == 'value1' and input == 'value2'

For a single select value (or any input with just one value) the or statement makes sense. An input cannot have the value of value1 and value2 simultaneously.

For a multi select input (or radio group), the input can have multiple values, so the or and and statement will have completely different meanings, but both required in a way it makes sense to support such a feature.

I believe this package needs a rewrite where we take a different approach from it's current implementation and limitiations and make it more familiar in its behaviour, for example; Eloquents approach of querying a database table.

// $query results into: `(where *or* where) *and* where`
$query
  // joined group
  ->where(function($query) {
    return $query
      ->where(..)
      ->orWhere()
  })
  // additional and
  ->where(...);

The dependency container could mimic this behaviour which would result in a cleaner solution.

// $container results into: `(depends *or* depends) *and* depends`
$container
  ->dependsOn(function($container) {
    return $container
      ->dependsOn(...)
      ->orDependsOn(...);
  })
  ->dependsOn(...);

Now multiple values only makes sense to avoid the multiple use of dependsOn as in

->dependsOn('some_field', 'value1')
->dependsOn('some_field', 'value2')

which is easier to display as ->dependsOn('some_field', ['value1', 'value2']). So it has to be decided how an array input given as a value would behave, for example

$container
  ->dependsOn(function($container) {
    return $container
      ->dependsOn('some_field', ['with', 'multiple', 'values'])
      ->orDependsOn(...);
  })
  ->dependsOn(...);

Would result in ((depends *and* depends *and* depends) *or* depends)) *and* depends.

As you can see, it's not that easy to just throw in "an array" with values.
