incompatibility with detached.el

If the detached.el package is set-up & enabled, then the first time Equake is summoned/invoked, it does not set the equake-mode properly.

• Killing the window and re-opening it results in a less broken result, but the first tab still is not set up right (though subsequent ones are).
• it seems that equake-mode doesn't get enabled
  • enabling equake-mode still doesn't get everything set up right
  • but if a new equake tab is opened after enabling equake-mode, it and all subsequently opened tabs are properly set-up
  • and everything behaves normally after that in the session

I'm not sure what the incompatibility is exactly, maybe take some time to track down/debug.
