terminal freeze

What Happened?

happens frequently after doing terminal command like updating via apt or execute some git command like config or checking list repo.

actually my terminal is not in fullscreen or maximize mode. it just stacked right or left because i need to dual task like code or read site.

Steps to Reproduce

1. just do some typing like terminal command or updating system or checking what's coming
2. do minimize or close the terminal, the freeze will come

Expected Behavior

it is normal thing to interact with terminal, like close them or maximize it.

OS Version

7.x (Horus)

Session Type

Classic Session (X11, This is the default)

Software Version

Latest release (I have run all updates)

Log Output

no output just freeze. but sometimes not only terminal did, but also any apps like vscode or browser became freeze

to kill this awkward thing, i just log out and relogin. then the freezing terminal gone like a ghost

i tried this to see whats wrong :

i type on another terminal : "xprop"
then it shows + cursor then i click to freezed terminal and the output is :

WM_NAME(STRING) = "mutter guard window"

Not seen this yet. Did it happen after a recent update? When the freeze occurs, does this affect mouse input (e.g. clicking to change tabs or open menu) or keyboard input - or both? Are you running any processes in any of the tabs? Does it only affect terminal or are other open apps affected?

When it next occurs could you try running a system monitor (e.g. gnome-system-monitor) to see if there is any processes unexpectedly consuming a lot of cpu?

i updated it with recent update.
when i try to monitor that mysterious process, the terminal was not there. but the interface(ui) was still existed. but the odd thing was when i went to workspace preview, the thing was gone and appeared again when i switched back to main desktop

some time when the terminal freeze, i tried to open another app like file manager. unfortunately the file manager freezed too. so i pick the log out option and relogin. that 2 damn freezed things went out of my eyes

Sounds like it could be an issue with the window manager if it affects multiple apps.
