When i open a new tab in one window, another window reloads

this is an annoying UX issue. when i want to copy a file to my NAS and open 2 windows and have scrolled to the file i want to move and the window is reset, so i have to scroll down and find the file again...

Steps to Reproduce

1. open 2 windows
2. scroll down in the first
3. open a new tab in the second
4. the view in the first resets

Expected Behavior

actions in one window should not change settings in another

This is confirmed to occur when the new tab in the second window is at (or is navigated to) the same location as the first window.
Presumably due to both views sharing the same Directory object (but not the same model). The problem will be that the same signal is used whether the directory is just listing from cache (which the first tab should ignore) or when the directory is reloaded (which the first tab should respect).
