Project not initiating on pressing Create button

Hi, I just made a fresh install of Docker (29.1.3), Portainer CE (2.33.6 LTS) and SysON (v2025.12.0) which I installed as a Stack in Portainer with the docker compose file as instructed in the docs. I am able to browse to the SysON interface on port 8080. However, when I click on any of the templates or on 'Create' in the 'Create a new project' window, nothing happens. I think a Project view should open, but that is not the case. This happens both without and with a persistent volume mounted for the postgres DB and I have checked that there are writing rights.

The logs give no hint as to what I am doing wrong. Any ideas?

Ah, so it might be something firewall related. It works on 2025.10.0 and 2025.12.0 if I access the site from the local machine instead of over the network.

Ah no wait. If I use the 192.168.x.x address it does not work on the machine itself. If I use localhost:8080 it works on the machine itself.

Several recent forum discussions pop up, there might be recent update in Docker that changes behavior. For example https://forums.docker.com/t/can-only-access-containers-using-localhost-from-the-host/150125/20 (but this discusses a Windows host).

It might be IP4/IP6 related?

If you are on linux, do not forget to uncomment some options in the docker-compose.yml file (just open it and you will see which lines to uncomment).
Furthermore, with your last comments, I would say that your problem will be fixed by following the https://doc.mbse-syson.org/syson/v2025.12.0/installation-guide/how-tos/https.html page of the documentation.
