Improvement: Provide mocks for unit testing

In order to unit test other components, for example, Configuration Management, one needs to mock Lifecycle aspects. The mocks allow for testing exceptional conditions that are hard to simulate on integration tests, and are thus paramount for achieving proper decision coverage metrics for other components.
Currently the following target is missing:
