The compulsory statements that IJM require authors to publish in their articles are spread across the "article" and "figures and data" tabs. IJM would like these all to appear on the "article" tab in the "Article and author information" section.

- Conflict of interest (compulsory, even if no competing interests are present);
- Funding (compulsory, even if no external funding supported the research);
- Data and code availability (only if the manuscript is based on empirical and/or modelling work);
- Use of generative AI and AI-assisted technologies (including for coding, analysis, and writing; but excluding the use of basic tools for checking spelling, grammar, or punctuation);
- Participants and participant consent (only if the research involves human participants and/or animal experimentation).
