Empty spaces in combined images

There are still issues with empty space on combined images.

My guess for a while is, that the width calculation is wrong. The width of the biggest image seems to be applied to all the other images.

Shouldn't that be like

        return (imageArray.size[0][0] + imageArray.size[1][0], max(imageArray.size[0][1], imageArray.size[1][1]))
    elif (len(imageArray) == 3):
        return (max(imageArray.size[0][0] + imageArray.size[1][0], imageArray.size[2][0]), max(imageArray.size[0][1], imageArray.size[1][1]) + imageArray.size[2][1])
    else:
        return (max(imageArray.size[0][0] + imageArray.size[1][0], imageArray.size[2][0] + imageArray.size[3][0]), max(imageArray.size[0][1], imageArray.size[1][1]) + max(imageArray.size[2][1] + imageArray.size[3][1]))

This only considers only the rows with the two images and gets the pixels with the most width and height, since smaller images will fit in there. Instead of multiplying all images with biggest width, which doesn't really make sense for me?
I prolly have errors in this, but I hope it makes sense.
