How to scan for specific SSID?

I have seen your commit on esp8266 arduino regarding scanning for networks and I was able to do it by providing channel number of my AP. But in some situation I want to scan for only 1 known AP by it's ssid.

Can you please give me hint about the call I have to make for scannetworks() ?
