Per Adam, this is a Chromium issue

Can you try the commands mentioned in https://docs.appimage.org/user-guide/troubleshooting/electron-sandboxing.html? If that works for you, I'll add this to the documentation.

Not sure this is fixed yet, but #173 might have at least done a reasonable workaround. Testing with a third party before I call it fixed.

Damn, no dice here. I had to remove the electron-builder-sandbox-fix workaround because it is totally incompatible with Electron Fuses, at least without doing some more in-depth hacking I don't have time for right now.

Tested the last release with Ubuntu and Debian, westerday. It works. If you can tell me wich Linux is used here I can take a look and report back. With Debian 13 and Ubuntu 24.04 LTS Release 1.0.2 is working fine for me.

The only thing wrong with the instructions was you need to do:
sudo apt-get -y install libfuse2

instead of what was written:

sudo apt-get -y install fuse2

Because there isn't any fuse2 package.

The error message isn't that helpful. It says to make sure that /tmp/.mount_DrupalloTkhq/chrome-sandbox is owned by root and has mode 4755, but that file isn't on my machine.

So probably the error handling needs to be improved.
