FEATURE -> Broadcast all files in /opt/BotWave/uploads

First of all, thank you for this, it's fun to use and it would be nice for kids to learn more about broadcasting in school with Botwave.

I just started to use Botwave and maybe I didn't understand how to do that but I would like to listen not only one file at a time but all files that are actually in the folder /opt/BotWave/uploads. Otherwise, I have to create a big .wav file, very long to upload.

Something that could be done like this : start allfiles 88.6 true "BotWave" "Coming soon"

Or, it would be nice to list the files that must be broadcasted among those in the /opt/BotWave/uploads folder like : start first.wav,second.wav,third.wav 88.6 true "BotWave" "Coming soon"

Hi, glad you're liking the project !
It reminds me of an old recommendation that I've forgotten: a queue system. If I implement this, it should be easy enough to do what you requested !
I've currently got some exams, so I can't really work on it, but I'll try to implement it as soon as possible!

I've had the time to work on an implementation of a queue system ! It allows you to queue multiple files, and when one finished, the next in queue goes, etc. It seems to work fine on my installs, could you check it and tell me if it works, and suits your needs ?

Here are the install instructions:

# if you already had an installation, backup your important files, like in /opt/BotWave/uploads or /handlers 
curl -sSL https://botwave.dpip.lol/uninstall | sudo bash # skip this if you didnt install it

curl -sSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/dpipstudio/botwave/refs/heads/queue/scripts/install.sh | sudo bash -s -- -l
# NOTE: this script wont work anymore

As the wiki page isnt yet live, here are a few command examples:

botwave> queue ? # displays help, start with that

botwave> queue +* # adds every file of your upload folder

botwave> queue ! # toggles the queue (start/pause)

botwave> queue -* # removes everything

Please tell me if you have any suggestions for improvements

Glad it suits your needs ! You're right, being able to loop it would be great. I'll work on implementing that this evening, it shouldn't be too hard

I added the queue loop system, you can now, when you toggle the queue, specify if you want it to loop, like this queue !90,true (plays at 90mhz and loops). If you want to try it, you'll have to redo the install steps of the previous message.
Please tell me if you have any other suggestions, or if its all good for you !

I tried and it works perfectly. It's great !
Now I need to figure out how to create a script that will automatically launch when the Pi starts up to launch BotWave, as well as the command to start the broadcast ;-)

Nice to know ! The issue will automatically close when the changes will be pushed into the main branch.

As for the auto start and command automation, BotWave can already do that ! It isn't documented very well since the wiki is in WIP, but basically you can do that in a shell:

sudo bw-nandl l_onready.hdl  # creates a file in /opt/BotWave/handlers that will be used by botwave
# then put the commands you want to automatically run on local client start, save and exit

sudo bw-autorun local # automatically start botwave on pi boot (as a systemd service)
