[BUG] always_expand_workspaces is not working

Describe the bug 🐛
Setting always_expand_workspaces does not start the app with workspaces expanded. I was successfully able to use always_expand_todos so I know my config is loading properly.

To Reproduce 🐣
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. set api.vars.always_expand_workspaces = True
2. open dooit
3. see that workspaces are not expanded

Expected behavior 🤔
Upon startup, I would expect the workspaces to be expanded.

• OS: Arch (Omarchy)
• Version 3.3.4

I’m on macOS with dooit v3.3.4, and api.vars.always_expand_workspaces = True works as expected — child workspaces are expanded in the workspace tree on startup.
