connection problem with v4l2loopback since kernel 6.11.0 #289

Describe the bug
I can connect droidcam once using in-tree v4l2loopback. Then I can use the camera in firefox. When I disconnect and reconnect it, it fails.
If I connect, disconnect and reconnect the camera, I get this output over and over:
error: write() failed for video device
Expected behavior
It should just work as before.
Additional context
This happens since the Ubuntu 24.04.02 LTS update. It came with kernel 6.11.0-17-generic. I can verify that rebooting to 6.8.0-53-generic makes the problem disappear.
