It would be very useful if places (or at least some of them) could be shared globally. The idea is to have a server-level configuration that allows places to be shared by default, so the admin can manage them centrally.
The ideal scenario would be to have a server option that defines whether all places are shared by default, while still allowing users to mark some places as private if needed.
This would allow the admin to edit a place once, and all users would automatically see the updated version.

A server-level option that makes all places shared by default.
In this scenario, a single place entry would exist in the database and be shared with all users, and the admin would be able to edit it centrally.
Describe alternatives you've considered
An alternative would be to allow each user to manually mark a place as shared, however this becomes impractical if many or all places need to be shared, as it would take too much time and be error-prone.
Additional context
This feature would be especially helpful in environments like companies or households, where a central admin is responsible for maintaining the system.
With shared places, the admin would only need to update a place once and all users would automatically benefit from the change.
