installation for R 3.4.2

Cant install after upgrading R to the recent version (on windows 10). get a weird double slash error - double backslashes and forward slashes in the same path?

cp: cannot stat 'Pittman\\orclient_install_dir_11_dup\\instantclient_11_2/sdk/include/nzerror.h': No such file or directory
and many such like it

The final error is
