Clarity Check – Angular Change Definition (Section II)

This issue is for feedback on the clarity and notation of the angular change definition presented in Section II of the manuscript.

The goal is to ensure that the expression is:

  • Geometrically clear
  • Unambiguous in notation
  • Independent of any physical assumptions beyond image-plane geometry

Definition

Angular change is defined as:

θᵢ = arccos( (vᵢ · vᵢ₊₁) / (‖vᵢ‖ ‖vᵢ₊₁‖) )

where the displacement vectors are:

vᵢ = (xᵢ₊₁ − xᵢ , yᵢ₊₁ − yᵢ).

This expression measures the turning angle between successive displacement vectors in a discrete image-plane trajectory.

Feedback Request (short)

Please keep responses concise (≤ 3 lines).
We are specifically seeking clarity-related feedback:

  • Is the definition sufficiently clear as written?
  • Are any symbols or indices ambiguous?
  • Would a short numerical example improve understanding?

This issue is focused solely on notation and geometric clarity, not physical interpretation.
