wrong file owner on rootfs

in rootfs.tar.bz2 the owner of all files is 1000:1000
(guess, must it be root:root instead?)

At the end, make need your password. I guess: make using sudo to run the tar command here .
so, type your password will get it ok.

no, it is not ok.
I don't know why it uses tar under sudo - but it no way touches file ownering.
files inside archive are owned by 1000:1000.
On repacking (even with sudo) it is not changed.
So, on final rootfs they all also owned by 1000:1000.

why sudo ?
this line code of makefile give you the answer:

cd rootfs && sudo tar czfp ../jarvis-rootfs.tgz *

I think you can make this line of code to a comment. Then after make, you do this your self.
This line change file-own to root:root .
rootfs needs file-own to be root:root .
