npm test results not visible if user has black background color in a terminal window

Noticed that when running npm test, it is difficult to read results if terminal has black background color. Screen capture shows example of the problem (visible with iTerm or similar).

Text is there, but well hidden, unless user realises to highlight the terminal window manually (to bring it visible to human eyes).
