To provide and maintain the Service, Musicify collects the following information:
- Discord User IDs and Server IDs: Used to associate settings, queues, and command usage with the correct user or server.
- Channel IDs: Used to send messages, manage the ChatPlay feature, and connect to voice channels.
- Message Content: Musicify only reads message content in channels where ChatPlay is enabled to detect song requests. We do not log or store the content of your messages.
- Command Usage Data: We may collect anonymous data on how often certain commands or features are used to improve the bot.
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
- To execute your commands and manage audio playback.
- To store your server-specific preferences (e.g., volume, 24/7 mode, loop settings).
- To troubleshoot issues and provide customer support.
- Data Persistence: Server settings (such as 24/7 mode and bound channels) are stored in local JSON files or a database to persist across bot restarts.
- Security: We take reasonable measures to protect the data we collect from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information only in the following situations:
- With your consent.
- To comply with legal obligations, protect our rights or property, or prevent illegal activity.
Musicify utilizes third-party APIs and libraries (such as Lavalink and Discord.js) to function. Your use of Musicify may also involve interacting with platforms like YouTube, Spotify, and SoundCloud. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of Discord and any third-party audio platforms you access through our Service.
You can stop Musicify from collecting your data at any time by kicking the bot from your Discord server. If you wish to have your server's data completely deleted, please reach out via our Support Discord.
